Adam Riggs
is looking forward to moderating our August session and wants to spread his excitement and love of the cello! Adam has been playing cello for close to 25 years and has had the wonderful opportunity to play in many cello choirs, and even started his own cello choir while an Artist Diploma Student at the Hartt School. He believes that being a cellist is not reserved for a select few, but that anybody can become proficient at playing the cello with the right amount of work and dedication. Adam is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Cello Performance at the University of Colorado-Boulder and is a student of Judith Glyde; and also teaches the
Continuing Education Course for cello
at CU-Boulder. Adam happens to be a Beatles fan so we'll be playing
Yesterday

- Members, do you know about our
Discussion Boards
? Post ideas, feedback, music requests or general cello questions that you want your fellow cellists to answer. Feel free to use our boards to find other cellists who would like to work in a duo, trio or quartet! However, we are not responsible for anything that happens outside of our play-in sessions.
-
More sessions please!
- we are aware that many of our members would like more sessions; and once a month is simply not enough! We heard you and agree, so we have plans in the works to add more sessions, including breaking out sessions to different abilities and genre interests in genres (folk, rock, jazz, etc). Additionally, we will be sending out a survey in the next few weeks to see what days our members prefer for our play-in sessions. If you want our sessions played on a specific day, we
highly
recommend that you fill out our survey, as we will be using the survey's responses to plan our upcoming sessions.
