The Boulder Cello Project is a wonderful opportunity for cellists of many different levels to get together to play. I cannot believe how much fun this experience has been, and continues to be.

Our organizers are amazing. They have created a group that feels very professional. The organization they put into each play-in is flawless, the music selections are excellent, the camaraderie among the players is wonderful... And it is a delight to learn so much from the professional cellists who moderate each play-in. There really is something for everyone. We've played classical pieces, popular rock pieces, had improv workshops.

It's also a great opportunity for cello ensemble composers to hear their pieces come to life. And, it is inspirational to see that the love for the cello can begin at any point in your life. We have players who started playing very young, about 4 years old, and players who started in high school, and players who didn't find the cello until their twenties, thirties, forties, even sixties.

This is a wonderful community. I'm so excited to be a part of it.

" Psyche is a fabulous director - postivie, an intiitive sense for how long to stick with a piece and what to emphasize/focus on, all the time sneaking in technique tips.
